Bettergoods is Walmart’s largest private food brand to be launched in 20 years and I had the opportunity to help design and art direct the packaging design strategy that was set in place by Turner Duckworth.
Bettergoods is divided into three different categories. The Culinary experience features innovative recipes with a vibrant color pallet and modern photography that showcases the product. Plant-based features a green-on-green approach that helps the buyer quickly identify the products while shopping, while the Made Without pillar is for products that cater to different dietary lifestyles. This category relies on a neutral color pallet while using the logo to identify the various flavors of the product.
I love the modern approach and the retro aesthetic of colors and patterns this design brings to the market. It showcases my skills in understanding the process of a large design strategy and my ability to art direct and work with food styles and photographers on set.
